Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as a reporter and anchor for WPDE-TV which was located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She then worked as a morning reporter and anchor for WCBD TV. The journalist's report on the lack of response of the police to DUI cases in Charleston caused an investigation by State Law Enforcement Division, that led to a revised direction from the state authorities on DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell won an award for the Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. In the years following her stay in Charleston, O'Dell worked as an anchor co-host for the NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and also as an investigative reporter. Then she became a part of Access Hollywood to work as an anchor on weekends and weekdays. Additionally, she is an anchor on Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She's covered events such as The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as and co-hosted a variety of shows that were pre-showarrivals for The Emmys and the Golden Globes. She also co-hosted the Miss USA pageant and the Miss Universe pageant.
